I can’t seem to find the words….

When writing about one of my favorite girls, words have flowed pretty easily for me, but not today. You see, my little PiperGirl has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She was so brave, so beautiful, so caring and loving all the way to the end. But the pain was too much for her, I knew it, and she knew it. I didn’t want to let my baby go, but I knew she needed to, and my heart is broken

Last night, as I walked around my home, it felt empty, quiet. I begin to recall all the memories I have of my little girl, and I realized all the gifts she has given me these last 12 years. She taught me about true happiness, she taught me of unconditional love, she taught me how to be a kid again, to be a good parent, and how to live in the moment. She was truly the most special being in the world.

Piper, you were so much a part of our lives, and although I miss you terribly and a piece of my heart is missing, I know you are always with us, that you watching over us. I knew last night when the snow began to fall that you sent it us, because playing in the snow was one of your favorite things to do.  I miss you my sweet P, rest in peace.

  1. Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that Piper’s time has come to earn her wings. She was truly a Tripawd Warrior Princess! She fought so hard and was such an inspiration. It was sweet of her to send you the snow. Abby sent us the most amazing deep, pink sunset the day after she earned her wings. They are together now, with the other warriors that went before them.

    Run pain free, beautiful girl!

Leslie is right–PG3 is in good company at the Bridge. Our community has lost an awful lot of good souls lately, but knowing what they could be doing together makes me smile. Piper’s making snow!

I’m sorry Piper began to have more pain, but I’m so relieved that you were able to help it stop. It’s the hardest thing we have to do on their behalf. Piper was well-loved. Thank you for loving her enough to do what was right for her. I wish your family peace and smiles at the memories you all made together.

  13. Sweet Piper Girl was so lucky to have all of you to love and to be loved by you. She waited until you all were together again so you could have the gift of time. More time to have love….and create more memories to be engraved in your hearts always…She was truly a gift and an inspiration to so many of us. My heart goes out to you with so many tears, as I live each and every day missing my Indiana ~ as it is 8 months today since we said goodbye. Indy and all of the tripawd angels will welcome her and with open paws…
Sending hugs and much love to all of you.
With love from Spirit Indiana’s mom ~ Carol~ xoxo
